That’s where you come in. HELIO is looking for a Messaging Architect
The position of Messaging Architect will be primarily concerned with providing innovative, cutting-edge messaging solutions. In addition, the Messaging Architect will research emerging technologies, evaluating their potential benefits for current and future projects.
This position will supervise no direct reports, and will report in to the Sr. Manager of Terminal Engineering.
Position Duties / Responsibilities:
Design and development of handset solutions, adopting cutting edge technology in the field of wireless internet
Feasibility studies on new terminal solutions
Developing deployment strategies for terminal services
Solution vendor management
Writing requirements for handset technical solutions
Writing test procedures
Working with service team to rationalize product requirements
Evaluate and recommend handset-related third party software platforms, solutions and applications.
Conduct technology and vendor selection through technical evaluations
Key Experience / Education Requirements:
Must be familiar with CDMA, 1xRTT, EV-DO voice and its data technologies and also data networking with TCP/IP.
Requires at least 6 years technical/engineering experience in data-capable handset product development with wireless carriers/operators or handset OEMs.
Demonstrated principal experience with the following technologies:
MMS( MM7, SMIL, Mobile Text Editor, Multimedia codec)
SMS, WPUSH(OMA),
IMS(including e-mail), SyncML, SIP, IM, PTT
C++ based programming languages (BREW, WIPI, J2ME)
Markup languages such as XML, XHTML, WML,
Wireless Application Protocol 1.0 and 2.0
Media formats such as JPEG, GIF, Animated GIF, and BMP
RTP/RTSP and DMIF for multimedia services
TCP/IP, Mobile IP
Experience in planning and developing multimedia handset features based on CDMA chipsets, and technology road mapping experience is a plus
