Sound Engineer
SVOX AG (www.svox.com) is a dynamic technology company specialized in text-to-speech and a leading provider of speech output solutions for the automotive and mobile devices industries.
We are seeking to add to our professional services team a well-organized sound engineer to operate and enhance our recording studio and audio processing tools. A solid background in speech signal processing and good programming skills are prerequisites.

Tasks
• Management of SVOX’s recording studio
• Supervision of large scale recording projects
• Audio post-processing of recordings
• Programming of tools for cutting and concatenation of recordings
• Cutting, concatenation and packaging of recordings
• Integration and testing of new studio components
• Setup and optimization of recording equipment
• Optimization and further development of audio processing tool chain
• Preparation of texts and studio-recording speech material (recording scripts)
• Evaluation of speakers based on voice characteristics
• Creation of demo samples for customers
Formal requirements
• Technical education with strong background in signal processing
• Programming skills and experience in writing automated scripts
• Professional experience in audio signal processing and state-of-the-art audio tools
• Good knowledge of recording studio hardware and software
• Experience with recordings of speech material and casting of speakers
• Project management experience
Personal requirements
• Very accurate hearing and outstanding ability to judge audio signals and voice characteristics
• Complete written and spoken fluency in English
• Fluency in German and other languages is a strong plus
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
• Strong commitment to the job
• High quality standards
• Willingness to relocate to Zurich, Switzerland
