Windows Server Administrator
Install, configure and maintain an organization’s Window operating systems. Works with the Engineering team to setup and maintain applications for live, customer accessed programs and insures a very reliable and scalable infrastructure. This includes several web applications, bug tracking applications, and the live exchange servers. Responsible for the top level management of the company website and its mini sites which often includes hands on attention on the website itself. Must analyze and resolve all problems associated with Windows based server hardware, software and applications.
Responsible for administering, backing up and restoring servers, the applications and databases.
Windows Administration, Windows Exp. with Active Directory, MS Clustering, MS Exchange, Intrusion Detection, CISCO Routers and Switches, firewall, Level II troubleshooting and tech support.
Manages and administers network of multiple clients and multiple server computers. Provides windows administration and IT server support. Designs and implements Windows Active Directory. Designs and performs migration on Windows servers. Designs and implements disaster recovery plans; responsible for backups, tape storage and recovery
Understands how to isolate, diagnose, and resolve servers, networks, and applications. Skilled in leading projects, especially in deploying live end-user systems. Proven technical troubleshooting experience
Sets up, configures, and supports internal, external and remote office networks. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Must be able to track and analyze all statistics related to the use of Web applications, bandwidth, and network links between offices and report them in a concise manner available to managers and other members of the team.
Troubleshoots network access and performance problems and implements network security policies and procedures. Ensures network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice) security access and protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users.
Responsible for assisting with Helpdesk related issues. Strong customer service skills. Help the Linux Administrator with Linux issues. Act as a backup Linux administrator
Qualifications:
• Five to 10 years Administrator experience on single and multiple domains.
Experienced as User Manager for domains
• Experienced in installing OS, managing domain user accounts
• Solid TCP/IP and netbios networking skills
• Experienced troubleshooting with Registry, Event Viewer, Performance Monitor
• Experienced DHCP, WINS/DNS and browser configuration
• Storage background, such as RAID, server backup and restore including Registry
• Expert-level experience with MS Exchange 2003, IIS/Tomcat

• Linux/UNIX administration skills required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Independent problem-solving and self-direction
• O/S hardening experience
• Experience writing group policies required
• Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Basic Database knowledge necessary, Oracle helpful
Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or equivalent. Familiar with a variety of the IT concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks and may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
