Lead a team that drives the product strategy, mobile device roadmap and define the handset feature-set for our target market. You will be the main interface between the handset OEM’s and key internal cross-functional groups to provide the overall mobile device strategy.

Additionally, you’ll

• Develop VMU internal roadmap in conjunction with other groups. Articulate that strategy out to the vendors and drive to agreement on roadmap.

• Understand emerging wireless trends and technologies and recommend the appropriate feature-set to the business. Plan with the key stakeholders and build those into the internal roadmap for development.

• Manage the Product Manager User Interface (UI) and assess customization trade-offs for handsets. Provide leadership on crafting the appropriate UI for the handset.

• Provide critical input in handset pricing decisions and OEM negotiations.

• Give updates to leadership on handset roadmap and feature-sets.

Requirements
Join us with 10 years product management/marketing experience. 5 of those years should be in wireless with a handset OEM or wireless carrier. Product planning experience is also necessary, as is a high degree of technical proficiency including a deep understanding of handset platforms. You should be schooled in mobile value-added services, and have experience in developing internal roadmaps and handset portfolio planning.

Come as a cross-functional team player that can drive decisions through technical and marketing organizations, and have an understanding of pre-paid industry and handset pricing models. You will manage a small team, so you’ll need to show a track record of people management. To succeed, you’ll need highly developed planning, organizational, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced business environment.

Key responsibilities:

2. Establish business partnerships with all designated budget holdersMaintain the financial performance tracking scorecard for each of these budgets for review with the budget holders.

3. Prepare the annual Plan for all designated budgets – including both the high level strategic objectives, as well as the detailed business plan; this would also include the plan consolidation and submission to corporate finance.

4. Responsible for all aspects of actual headcount tracking and reporting. Includes running bi-weekly meetings with all studio development directors to capture time reporting by project, and communicating this data to payroll.

5. Plan, develop and maintain a new management reporting deck using the global web-reporting tool sets (Cognos Powerplay, GPS and Essbase).

6. Partnering with corporate finance in the deployment of automated workflow tools to streamline all transaction processing, thereby reducing our reliance on timely paper based processes and ad-hoc controls.

7. Partner with Worldwide studio finance and IS&T to implement management reporting systems and processes to track long-term forecast (3-yr) project profitability & budget performance at line item detail.

8. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Knowledge / Depth of expertise:

1. Bachelor's degree in business related field and at least 5-7 years previous applicable experience in finance, MBA or CPA preferred.

2. Expert in Microsoft Excel (the job interview will include a short test). Thorough knowledge of financial and operational accounting systems (Oracle preferred); Essbase based forecasting and planning tools (e.g. Hyperion Planning, Clarity) and ability to work with databases (e.g. MS Access).

3. Technical understanding of business planning, such as budgeting, forecasting and long range planning.

4. Project management experience; Demonstrated ability to recommend, develop, manage and drive projects to successful completion.

5. Evaluate and document the design and effectiveness of internal EALA Studio controls, assuring appropriate levels of documentation and existence of internal controls.

6. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to articulate a point of view by communicating opinions on projects and solutions, apply critical thinking to the analyses.

7. Experience working in a large, complex multi-national organization preferred.

Responsibilities:
• Apply your deep knowledge and experience with modern hardware and software solutions to provide optimal redundancy and scalability.
• Utilize your deep understanding of modern routing and switching technologies to network solutions
• Analyze, recommend, and implement network equipment and configurations according to established standards and processes
• Act as a technical project manager as needed on projects. This will require tracking deliverables on own and dependant projects
• Participate in defining and developing long-term Network strategies for EA Mobile.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with software engineers and production teams globally

Qualifications:
• 8+ years programming experience
• Expert Knowledge of Database driven, highly scalable server architectures
• Experience deploying large scale web sites (think Amazon.com) or massively multiplayer game services (World of Warcraft, etc)
• Socket level programming expertise
• Experience with several enterprise grade J2EE application servers (Weblogic, Websphere, IPlanet)
• Development experience on mobile phones (J2ME, BREW, Symbian, etc) a definite plus
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of structured and object-oriented programming
• Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills; solution oriented individual
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective communications skills
• Comfortable working with people to resolve challenging problems
• Self motivated with strong work ethic and ability to work with limited supervision
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
• Attention to detail
• A positive, “can-do” attitude

The AOL Wireless division is seeking a Sales Engineer for the Western Region to support our sales initiatives with leading wireless carriers. The individual will be a key member of the team, ensuring excellent understanding of the carrier technical organization, handset roadmap, wireless services pricing plans, premium services billing systems, WAP, SMS, MMS, J2ME and BREW technologies at each carrier account. The primary objectives are to support the Account Directors in developing our messaging, content and platform lines of business with carrier partners. Ability to develop and manage excellent internal and external relationships in customer facing roles is a critical element for success in this position. Regular attendance at relevant customer meetings, trade shows and conferences is required. The individual will be the "face of technology" in client meetings.

Specific job responsibilities shall include:
1) Serving as a technical expert on AOL products, platforms and services;
2) Serving as a technical expert on carrier network and technologies;
3) Interfacing with program management, development, deployment and
account management to:
(a) aggregate technical specifications
(b) provide technical product expertise
(c) manage product deployment efforts;
4) Developing written sales collateral for AOL Wireless products, including product description and technical requirements; and
5) Developing technical specifications for co
