Job Description:

The Project Manager position will serve as the primary customer interface for
implementation of customer-facing projects to be delivered by the Americas
Service Delivery organization. The Project Manager will coordinate, monitor,
manage and report on all project-related activities within our client's Network
Testing organization and the customer organization with a focus on maintaining
a high level of customer satisfaction and timely delivery of projects. The
position will have responsibility for managing all aspects of implementation,
customization and training projects related to the Test and Measurement portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Project Management expertise to drive the delivery of
customer-facing projects
• Engage with the Sales/Tech Sales organization as well as Service
Delivery Engineers in the Service Delivery organization to review and
finalize project Statements of Work
• Identify and secure resources that will be required to successfully
deliver assigned projects
• Develop project delivery plans and schedules and monitor activities in
order to drive projects to timely conclusion
• Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards
• Conduct kick-off meetings and periodic status review meetings with the
customer including appropriate people from the customer organization
and our client organization
• Recognize potential impediments to the success of assigned projects
and identify actions to keep the project on track
• Develop and maintain all project documentation in the appropriate

Requirements:

• Demonstrated understanding of project management principles and
concepts from 3-5 years of experience in a project management role
• CAPM and PMP or demonstrable progress towards these designations
a plus
• Understanding of the wireless telecommunication environment with a
focus on RF engineering and quality of service testing (Voice, SMS,
MMS, FTP, HTTP, WAP, etc.) - able to grasp technical details
• Highly organized individual with ability to coordinate activities, effectively
communicate project status both verbally and in writing
• Ability to drive both customers and internal resources to timely
completion of project tasks
• Self-motivated, self-starter focused and driven to achievement of team's
primary goals - timely delivery, customer satisfaction on budget.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects across the Test and Measurement
product set
• Ability to work both independently and as member of a team
• Ability and willingness to travel

Education Level:
• BS in Engineering (MS in Engineering a plus)

We seek talented engineers for customer-contact roles to project manage the configuration and installation of our client's test and monitoring products into MSO, wireline and cellular carrier networks.

Our client is rapidly growing and aggressively expanding its product portfolio of 3G/4G Service Assurance products into global markets. With 300 employees worldwide, they are growing revenue at double digit rates and have achieved market leadership in Service Assurance technologies for next generation IP communications.

Our client has multiple openings for Implementation Engineers to project manage deployments of our client's cutting edge Test and Measurement products and Service Assurance Analytics into 3G/4G networks - mobile, mobile broadband, Mobile core and SS7 Core monitoring, and IP Video service provider networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementation Engineers are responsible for project managing the deployment of our client's monitoring equipment into 3G/4G carrier networks and VoIP service providers. The Engineer manages the project from sales order entered by Account team to acceptance test plan (ATP). Implementation Engineers work collaboratively with customers to meet contractual obligations in a professional services role and set and manage customer expectations to ensure that product deployments are successfully completed on time and meet technical, business and operational expectations.

The Implementation Engineer initiates activity by conducting a thorough review of the sales order created by the our client's Sales Account team, validating the purchased configurations, site requirements, and network infrastructure with the customer. The Engineer utilizes this information and their engagements with the customer to develop a project implementation plan and Statement of Work (SOW) to ensure a successful deployment. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Engineer monitors and drives to established implementation milestones, and participates in client status calls to ensure that projects remain on schedule. The Engineer completes the engagement by verifying the completion of ATP and finalizes projects with customer acceptance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Expert-level knowledge of VOIP-based Telephony architectures and hands-on experience with the implementation, configuration and testing of carrier-grade equipment using VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, MGCP, H.248)

• Working experience with TDM networking (T1/ISDN/SS7, etc.)

• Experience with QA procedures, Interoperability testing

• Project Management experience with multiple simultaneous priorities

• Self-directed, self-motivated, professional services traits - excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven track record in expanding knowledge of networks and network architectures.

• BS degree in CS, CE, Telecommunications.

The perfect candidate will have proven expertise as part of establishing a Developer Program for a leading web platform and have a deep understanding of mobile platforms and operating systems, and prefers working with customers and partners to a hands-on engineering role.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with internal teams to define the roadmap, market positioning, and promotion of developer initiatives as part of their product offerings
• Building excitement and passion around PayPal's open platform service offerings through a variety of methods: blogs, sample applications on various mobile platforms, discussions, conferences, press events, and trade shows
• Identify and engage strategic partners and vendors that can enhance or benefit from PayPal's broad suite of technology offerings
• Maintain market knowledge of industry, competition, developer needs and consumer behaviors
• Developing, defining, and championing internal processes for deploying open services
• Engage influencers and third-party communities to evangelize the X.com platform
• Educate internal teams on developer needs and define and drive cross functional execution to build tools to help developers take advantage of PayPal's technologies
• Establish metrics to analyze and track performance
• Target and build relationships with developers, boutique SIs and large SIs
• Deliver articulate, effective, and audience-appropriate presentations and demonstrations with technically oriented content
• Define and deliver the online Jive developer community - the "on ramp" to the Jive App Store
• Manage the content and Jive API documentation for the Jive developer community
• Assist in the testing of APIs and the Jive App Store acceptance criteria
• Develop example Jive Apps to showcase the power of the Jive platform

Required Qualifications:
• You must be a proven performer and self-starter who is ready to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial-type environment within PayPal and is capable of leading projects across the organization and with external partners
• 6-8 years of work experience in mobile application development, mobile platforms and operating systems, technical program management, technical evangelism, product management, account management, or professional service roles for related web technologies
• With proven track record as a key contributor to a commercially successful application
• Passion for technology and technologists, and an ability to quickly come up to speed on new mobile platforms, standards and subjects
• Deep and practical understanding of the application development process. Ability to understand the needs of external developers and match them to the value of PayPal's technology platforms, resulting in increased awareness and adoption of PayPal's stack
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and oral and written communication skills

Job Description:

The Project Manager (PM) oversees all aspects of a project using planning, monitoring and controlling processes. The Project Manager is responsible for coordination and completion of the project and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of the project. The Project Manager may be responsible for more than one project at a time.

PM will be responsible for the successful implementation of different solutions within large mobile operators. A project time-line normally spans over several months up to a year. The project manager is responsible for all activities, including project planning, review meeting with customers, provide guidance for the assigned support engineer. The job also consists of daily contact with the R&D team to report/discuss customer bug reports and feature requests.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading multi-disciplinary teams with participation from different functions within the organization and where appropriate, external sub-contractors
• To be Company's client representative for all matters relating to the implementation phase of any work undertaken
• To assist in identifying and responding to sales opportunities
• Planning and problem-solving tasks. The Project Manager is responsible for planning the project in order to accomplish its goals or produce the products required within constraints such as time, cost and agreed quality standards.
• The Project Manager must be courteous and polite in written and oral communication, and be able to get ideas across in a non-confrontational manner in one-to-one situations, small groups, and before large audiences.
• The Project Manager is responsible for the project's commitment to quality - also referred to as fitness for purpose or specification level, and may need to call on specialists to assist in creating or assessing quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience & Knowledge
• Proven project management experience gained in a telecommunications environment. Both Planning and execution.
• BSC (or higher) Engineering degree.
• Fluent English
• 5 or more years in managing complex implementation projects within large mobile operators. Implemented at least one service system in a mobile environment
• Very good technical knowledge of IP networks, HTTP protocols and Cellular topology.
• Good understanding of operating system concepts (UNIX and Windows).
• Previous hand-on technical experience is a big advantage
• Previous experience with web/TCP optimization is a big advantage.
• Languages - Very good English is mandatory.
• Preferred locations - Walnut Creek, California

The Field Support Engineer (FSE) is an integral part of our client's deployment and Support Organization. The FSE is responsible for the deployment and technical support of our client's solutions on customer site, or by technical mentoring our client's partners remotely. The FSE is also handle incidents, problems and improvements for the on going technical SLA support on site or remotely, according to need. The FSE is a results driven person capable of working independently and within a team to resolve time critical deployment and production issues.

DUTIES & PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

Technical Skills:
Proficient in UNIX/Linux System Administration, a must
Highly Knowledgeable in TCP/IP networking, a must
Familiar in mobile network technologies including l3-7 switching and load balancing, redundancy (A/P, A/A) and high performance systems
Knowledgeable in customer support processes, tooling and troubleshooting.
Familiar with the following protocols: HTTP, FTP, RTSP.
Knowledge of common open source software
Knowledge of application servers, Weblogic/Jboss is an advantage
