We are looking for someone with 10+ years of mobile device or mobile applications development experience, preferably with an OEM and/or mobile operator. Hands-on experience with operator acceptance and interoperability test procedures for CDMA handsets is highly desired. Software architecture in mobile devices and deep knowledge of software development methodologies will be a big plus.

We expect you to have knowledge of wireless communication and application protocols like CDMA call processing, TCP/IP, SMS, MMS, J2ME technologies. Experience with standard project management and QA tools (MS Project, Bugzilla, Mercury) is highly desired. Your experience in software and hardware architecture, and preferably mobile device realization schedules and operator certification procedures will also come in hand in this role.

This role interfaces with several internal & external entities, so we will look for strong negotiation, multi-tasking and people management skills that will help you clearly communicate time and deliverable requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work with sales, operations and the engineering organization to establish strong product development processes, including project planning, documentation and change control

Product Manager

The product manager is responsible for both product & brand management functions across multiple titles and/or brands. Primary responsibilities include strategic planning, product guidance, marketing plans, partner relations, channel marketing and sales support.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant marketing experience, 2+ years in product management or product marketing preferred. Prefer entertainment experience from mobile, online, or game industries. New product launch experience required.
• Must possess a strong work ethic and enjoy working in an extremely fast paced environment.
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business (i.e., sales, development, administration and marketing).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks unsupervised.
• Experience in a “startup-like” work environment a plus.

Senior Software Engineer / Platforms
Universal Access Gateway
Chelmsford, MA

Airvana (www.airvana.com) is a market and technology leader in the mobile broadband arena including products in the 1xEV-DO, UMTS and Fixed Mobile Convergence infrastructure area. Founded in 2000, Airvana today is a 500+ people company that has been cash-flow positive for the last 14 quarters with $100M+ in annual billings.

We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The successful candidate will contribute actively to the architecture, design, implementation and validation of the embedded platform and BSP software development for Airvana’s Universal Access Gateway product.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Understand customer requirements and contribute to the architecture of the Universal Access Gateway product
• Design, implement and test solutions and support them through the test cycles
• Guide the quality assurance team to generate the appropriate test strategies and test plan

Required Skills
• Proven track record of delivering software solutions from concept through customer support
• Understanding of software architecture and end-to-end system behaviors
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

Specialized Knowledge and Skills
• C/C++ experience developing (design/code/test/support) real-time, embedded system software and network applications
• Knowledge of Linux, low level driver / Linux kernel development experience and Development of Board Support Package (BSP) experience for ATCA standard based high performance boards is required.
• Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming & Design concepts
• Familiarity with CASE tools, such as UML, ClearCase, and ClearQuest

Education/Experience
• 3+ years of product development experience.
• Advanced degree preferred.
