This contract-to-hire position is located in San Jose, CA.
The Marketing Manager responsibilities include:
— Create, develop & implement consumer focused marketing initiatives including the creation of marketing programs, communication and collateral within the existing customer base as well as lead generation.
— Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and tactics to increase sales and profit of Xringer consumer media products.
— Execute online marketing plans for specific product launches that include: promotional campaigns, downloads and demos for subscription and web sales.
— Identify cost effective opportunities and provide recommendations to improve our website, audience & online efforts.
— Conduct market research, competitive analysis, trend information and disseminate to the team.
— Implement research studies and contribute to competitive analysis to optimize efforts: focus groups, website traffic reports, etc.
— Build & maintain media relationships, handle media queries & requests.
— Create news releases, articles and PR plans including print publications, website & radio.
— Serve as point-of-contact for internal/external entities (publishers, partners, labels, suppliers).
— Maintain a detailed budget for all expenses related to marketing initiatives.
— Generate various sales and marketing reports using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
— Trade show & event management.
— Participate and actively contribute in team meetings.
— Other general marketing duties as required.
— 5+ years experience in Sales and Marketing.
— Bachelorâ€™s degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent.
— Education or experience in marketing analysis and statistics.
— Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint savvy.
— Creative and strategic thinker with a customer-focused approach to marketing.
— Authorized to work in the United States.
— Experience with wireless carriers (Verizon Wireless, Cingular Wireless, etc.).
— Experience in entertainment industry, consumer marketing or advertising agency a plus!
