The Director, Product Management for Reporting and Database Systems manages, defines, plans and directs all aspects of the reporting and database tools services within the Entriq ASP network. The reporting and database responsibilities include reporting and database hardware and software infrastructure, data warehousing and mining, user and administrative interfaces to the reporting system as well as tools for accessing the reporting system and other functional configuration services. Responsibilities also include researching new features and feature and product enhancements. Must incorporate market and customer requirements and evaluate product impacts.
Requires a bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science, engineering or IT) with at least 5-10 years of experience in product management associated with complex database systems associated with e-commerce as well as Familiarity with MySQL, Oracle, real-time and high-availability communications systems. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Maintains close relationship with the customer/prospect for awareness of customer needs and perspectives. This includes identification of appropriate markets and development of effective marketing strategies and tactics. Is involved through all stages of the Product Line’s lifecycle. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to VP Product Management.

Skills and Experience Required:
BA/BS in Information Technology, Systems, Engineering, Business or a related area
5-10 years of experience in software product management
5+ years experience designing, developing, and implementing database systems and/or service solutions
Experience in the following industries is highly desirable:
Data Warehousing
E-Commerce
Experience in strategic and tactical planning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Handles conflict well and addresses issues directly
Proven track record for working effectively with technical and business functions
Excellent interpersonal skills required both in one-on-one situations with all levels of personnel, and in facilitating group meetings.
Must be able to work with customers and other departments within the Company to reach common goals.
