Summary: Entriq is looking for a highly skilled Sr. System and Network Engineer for the design, analysis, deployment, configuration and maintenance of its global 24×7 High Availability ASP infrastructure. Engineer will provide analysis, configuration and trouble resolution support for all of Entriq’s products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze, engineer, configure, deploy, monitor and maintain Entriq’s 24×7 high availability global infrastructures. Some of Entriq infrastructure components include Linux, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Active directory, IIS, SQL Server 2000, Oracle, routers, firewalls, switches and load balancers.
Leverage industry best practices in Service Management; promote a quality customer support and service culture to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Interface with Customers and internal organizations on a day-to-day basis providing problem resolution and configuration support for all Entriq products and services.
Assist Sales and Account Management teams in planning and implementation of new Customers.
Perform in-depth analysis and detailed reporting on Entriq Service Point Site Capacity Planning, SLA performance, Operating System and Major Application Software Patch assessment and Security Vulnerability Analysis.
Evaluate and analyze systems, performance, issues and metrics in order to provide recommendations for service improvements
Review, audit, define, update and implement Service security policies and procedures to safeguard critical systems, information and data.
Perform management and maintenance of servers and associated operating systems including upgrades, enhancements, audits, data backups, preventative maintenance, process billing and items on daily checklist.
Monitor all systems and network traffic to ensure maximum performance and availability to users in maintaining data integrity on the network.
Research, analyze and propose new technology, hardware, and software solutions for Entriq’s Service infrastructure.
Maintains current knowledge of new technologies and identifies possible software applications to meet future Entriq Service infrastructure needs.
Develop, monitor, and communicate changes to department policies and procedures clearly and timely.
Assess, design and implement Business continuance contingency plans for all critical systems and application.
Procure, inventory and track Entriq Service infrastructure assets.
Communicate and provide regular status, performance and operational reports to Management.
Create and maintain high-quality documentation of all relevant specifications, systems, and procedures.
Work closely with the development engineering team to ensure timely resolution of bug fixes.
Build and manage relationships with internal and external organizations.
Will require periodic domestic and international travel
Carry an on-call pager and/or mobile phone and respond quickly to emergency situations.
Position Requirements:
BS in MIS/CS or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 6+ years experience working in a High Availability computing/network environment. Preferably in a high volume transactional environment.
Extensive experience with Extreme Networks.
Extensive experience in architecting, building and managing high availability infrastructures (>40 servers, 24/7/365 >100% uptime requirements), with preference for experience managing multiple geographically distributed Sites
Extensive experience in engineering, securing, implementing and managing multi-tiered networking environments
Expert experience in network and systems security essential best practices
Expert experience with supporting Internet and Web application products and services
Extensive Microsoft operating systems and Web knowledge and experience
Expert problem-solver. Sorts through complex issues and conducts comparative analysis of multiple solutions
Expert knowledge of Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Active Directory, load balancers, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, DNS, WINS, TCP/IP
Experience with technical projects such as software deployment, systems infrastructure, business process development, and e-commerce systems deployment and launch
Must be able to demonstrate the basic principles of project management
Proven track record for working effectively with technical and business functions
Excellent knowledge of internet networking, management and security protocols
Strong business/systems analysis skills required
Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications preferred
Strong team and people skills required
Ideal candidate is a strong team player, quality conscious, has excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and is highly self motivated.
