This is a unique opportunity to join a very small, initial stage company that is “flying under the radar screen” at this point. You will be a key contributor and leader, and will drive the development of mobile applications for the wireless marketplace. This is a rapidly growing space and this company is in a good position to grow rapidly with your direction and expertise. You will be charged with understanding the needs and desires of the company’s potential clients, and with a strong understanding of the technology trends within the wireless/mobile marketplace. In addition, any experience with targetted advertising is a huge plus. This is a start-up and candidates must be interested in the demands and changing priorities that start-ups often experience. You should have previous start-up experience in your background to be considered well qualified for this role.
Given the size and stage of this company, the requirements of this role are very specific. To be considered for this role, you must have all of the following in your background:
1. Significant experience as a Software Architect in a commercial product environment.
2. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
3. Demonstrated experience building and delivering mobile applications to the commercial marketplace.
4. A Significant Java background that must include J2ME experience. Other mobile platforms are considered a plus (BREW, Symbian, etc).
5. Exceptional communications and presentations skills, and an ability and desire to interact with cross-functional teams internally, as well as external customers.
6. Experience with targetted advertising or content management is a huge plus – especially within a mobile environment.
