The Account Manager for wireless is responsible for growing and managing the company’s wireless product portfolio in tier 1 and tier 2 wireless accounts.
Primary Responsibilities include:
1.) Act as the customer commercial contact internally and for customer product managers of games and personalization products.
2.) Actively manage accounts by identifying, qualifying and securing new sales opportunities and increasing existing business through deck management, merchandising and promotion of THQ products.
3.) Serve as account advocate and laison internally to effectively communicate and coordinate customer needs with the rest of the THQ Wireless organization.
4.) Responsible for managing carrier handset priority lists and effectively communicating the handset list internally.
5.) Responsible for making sure product is completed and submitted to carriers in a timely basis.
6.) Develop and communicate timely sales data actuals and forecast on a monthly/quarterly.
7.) Delivery of content concept submissions to carrier accounts.
8.) Support the communication of Account priorities to Product Development and Marketing teams.
9.) Manage handset-specific deck audits.
1.) 4-Year college degree or equivalent work experience.
2.) 3+ years experience selling to wireless carriers. Must have Wireless experience.
3.) Experience with data content and services, including SMS, WAP, MMS, JAVA etc. a plus.
4.) Experience selling nascent (embryonic/start-up) products/services into new markets.
5.) Relationship building and partner communication skills.
6.) Ability to understand and manage contract requirements and identify new business opportunities.
7.) New media sales, marketing and/or business development experience a plus.
