Mobile Ad-hoc Network Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer, your area of focus will be modeling cutting-edge Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) systems for our clients. Using your software engineering and analytical skills, you will research, design, and develop MANET protocol and device models in the simulation environment. Additionally, you will debug and validate these models, perform simulation studies and analyses, prepare model documentation, and lead or participate in technical meetings to present your models and simulation results. You will work closely with leading communications technology experts and be continuously exposed to exciting new developments in the networking field. Become an expert in network and application modeling, troubleshooting and analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Here*s what you should bring to the table
:
Experience with OPNET Modeler is required
Thorough knowledge of software engineering, programming languages (C/C++), and object-oriented design
BS in electrical engineering, computer science, systems engineering or a related field with a background in network modeling, simulation and operations research
MS/PhD with a focus on networking, MANET, or wireless protocols is preferred
5+ years of relevant experience
Strong background in MANET, experience with Quality of Service (QoS), and Radio medium access technologies (i.e. TDMA)
Strong technical and oral/written communication skills are important as the individual will produce functional specifications, interact with vendors and interface with clients
A can-do attitude and a serious desire to have an impact on your company and the industry
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security clearance
