Senior Wireless Systems Engineer
Full Time position
Salaried position with full medical benefits and 401K plans
Location: Portland, OR
Reports to: VP of Operations
Job Functions:
Systems Engineering
Understand client and overall program needs
Work with internal Senior Business Systems Analyst to define form, fit and function of mobile wireless applications
Very intimate with network architectures and operation of switching centers
Very intimate with SS7 and other signaling protocols
Very familiar with data structures, databases
Wireless Strategy
Advise corporation on wireless strategies for future
Work with Sales and Marketing to define new products
Stay plugged into various industry groups * participate in standards committees etc.
Meet with clients, make presentations as resident wireless expert
Advise on strategic investments, set direction for Company
Business Relationships
Define and manage business relationships with cell phone carriers
Define and manage business relationships with cell phone manufacturers
Customer facing
Wireless industry expert and provide advise and recommendations to key customers
Background
Engineering degree, preferably EE or CS
Has worked in Wireless network engineering
10+ years of wireless industry experience
Exposure to and involvement in business aspects of wireless industry
Familiar with database design fundamentals
Comfortable with presenting to clients at C-levels
Comfortable with financial and other business projections
Has had involvement in Standards bodies and other industry groupings
