ADF Mobile (Application Development Framework Mobile) is Oracle’s platform for the developing enterprise-grade mobile applications. It is a framework that extends Java Server Faces technology by creating mobile renderers for components that can be used within a mobile application developer’s JSP pages to generate markup suitable for mobile device browsers. The components and renderers allow J2EE developers to easily create interactive, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications that account for differences among a broad range of devices.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest
changes to existing software architecture to meet changing requirements.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex requiring independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. A minimum of four years of software engineering or related experience required.
Your responsibility within the ADF Mobile team will be to extend the existing PDA renderers to support three additional types of device browsers: IE Mobile 5.0, Blackberry Browser 4.x, and Opera browser v8.x. As such, you will need to interact and coordinate daily with the UI design team, and product management to
build the best possible experience for customers of our technology. You will work with cutting edge web technologies, such as CSS-3, DHTML, XHTML, Javascript, XML-HTTP in an effort to bring AJAX to PDA browsers. In addition to these new renderers you will also have ownership over the current PDA component renderers
in the Mobile ADF framework.
Finally you will be in charge of investigating and tracking cutting-edge standards, such as W3C’s Mobile Web Initiative and the work of W3C’s Device Independence Working Group, to ensure that ADF Mobile incorporates the state-of-the-art in Mobile and Wireless thinking and technologies.
