Vice President of Operations
The Vice President of Operations will be a key member of the executive management team. In this role, this individual must be highly entrepreneurial and a strategic thinker with a track record of proven success in deploying new technologies in the wireless market. This person will be responsible for all operations related to deployment and customer support of the Polaris Wireless Location Signatures Products among Tier I, Tier II and Tier III wireless carriers worldwide.
Specific:
• Successfully plan, organize, staff, execute and monitor E911 Phase II deployments with wireless carriers in the US
• Lead deployments with a hands-on approach, creating a sense of urgency and quality within Polaris’s technical and field operations teams, includes:
o Driving execution from initial planning through final product delivery, testing and acceptance
o Moving quickly to ensure that customer commitments and deadlines consistently are met
o Developing, managing, and maintaining strong relationships with major wireless customers and product integration partners
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or technologically relevant field is desired; Masters degree in business (MBA) is preferred
Required Skills and Experience:
Must haves:
• Results oriented operations management executive with 15+ years of relevant deployment and support services experience in the wireless telecommunication market who brings a reputation of credibility and integrity
• Solid understanding of how to work with wireless carriers, field service organizations, and cellular infrastructure players, as well as managing all operations functions worldwide
o Bring established relationships with top operations decision makers in Tier I wireless carriers, leading wireless infrastructure companies and field service organizations
o Management experience in operating and maintaining an RF cellular network
o High level of technical savvy; and ability to communicate effectively with engineers and sophisticated technology customers
o Extremely familiar with the operational methods and procedures used by large and small wireless service providers
• Experience in managing a customer support services organization
o Excellent leadership skills with exceptionally good organizational and motivational skills
• Experience with the rollout and support of new products simultaneously into multiple large wireless networks
