PRODUCT MANAGER – CABLE, SATELLITE & OEM
This position has product ownership for our Cable, Satellite and OEM products. The selected candidate will partner with our B2B clients by providing market strategy for cross-platform products. The selected candidate will have both technical and product marketing expertise within a Cable, Satellite or OEM environment to drive product development from concept to production – performing product definition that meets the needs of the business partners. Functional responsibilities: product definition; product positioning strategy; leadership of cross-functional teams from Engineering, QA, Marketing, Operations & Sales to deliver solutions to business partners; translate product requirements into engineering specifications; market product releases to our Cable, Satellite and OEM customers; and drive potential partner relationship for our products.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field (an MBA or technical post graduate degree is preferred) together with a minimum of 5 years of product management experience.
The candidate should possess a strong technical background with a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality; knowledge of digital media software, IP-based networking and emerging technologies to effectively lead and drive product roadmaps; and sharpened verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts and emerging technologies easily and understandably to the marketplace is necessary.
The ideal candidate would possess experience working in a technical or marketing-related role at a cable or satellite system operator and the skills to effectively develop product plans based predominantly on B2B relationships.
