Join this effective and fast paced dynamic team and you will have the opportunity to test and ensure quality on the next generation of .N/Java-based wireless solutions. Exercise your technical abilities in the design and implementation of .Net-based testing scripts and tools for the Mobile Division. The selected Test Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing tests and test tools around key portions of packaged solutions involving Mobile Applications as well as working with other engineers on the team and have an opportunity to be creative and design and implement tools that support the team’s automation efforts and in turn support the overall automation effort. This position will work with Developers and Program Managers and help validate the software solutions produced by the team and help develop stable and reliable products. This Engineer will work with Program Managers in understanding requirements as well as write test plans, test cases, and participate in code reviews. This position will own testing and installations around key parts of packaged solutions involving multiple products and effectively design and implement tools that will be used across teams. The Test Engineer will interact with developers and understand product design (file bugs, pursue resolutions, and subsequent regressions) and understand the configuration of the system and support deployments. The Engineer will collaborate with an effective team; building tools that increase the visibility of the team’s work and results. This will require communicating very effectively on long distance shared QA projects.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 4 or more years of experience in QA discipline to include: writing test plans, developing test cases, participating in technical reviews. Experience using UI Automation tools like WinRunner and LoadRunner is required. Strong programming skills in C# and Java and debugging skills are required. Experience writing backend automation tools and frameworks as well as experience working with .Net and MS SQL server technologies is required. White-box testing experience will be a plus. Candidates must have good understanding of database concepts and performance-related issues. Experience testing and developing web services is required. Release management and UI/Device testing experience is a plus.
