Technical Account Manager, Carrier Sales
Location: West Coast (Bay Area) but can go up to Kansas City
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Nokia is looking for an experienced Technical Account Manager (a.k.a. Sales Engineer or Systems Engineer) to work with our Carrier Sales team. The person will provide pre-sales technical assistance and support working closely with the field sales force of wireless carrier accounts. The Sales Consultant will develop and maintain relationships with the customer’s technical contacts.
• Develop a deep understanding of the Nokia business software solutions deployed in production at mobile operators
• Provide technical assistance to key sales initiatives
• Provide product information, demonstrations and presentations on Nokia business software products
• Provide a feedback loop from the field to Product Marketing on market requirements
• Support product evaluations
• Provide web-based and onsite product training
• Provide support in completing RFP and RFI responses
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The Sales Consultant will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Sales Consultant working in a revenue generating field sales environment. The Sales Consultant must be a technically adept professional who is confident, articulate, and sales/service-oriented. They will be tenacious in their resolve to complete projects and deliver on commitments.
• BA/BS College Degree with significant computer-related course work (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Systems Analysis, etc.)
• Minimum of 5 years of computer and/or PDA related professional experience
• Experience using PalmOS, PocketPC, Smartphone, and Symbian devices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in local language
• Fluent in English verbal and written communications
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Experience with corporate groupware applications: Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino
• Experience with networking including firewall and proxy configurations
Additional Qualifications:
• Enterprise IT Administration Experience
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Engineer (MCSA/MCSE)
• Experience working with mobile operators
• Willing to travel ~60%
