In this role, you will be responsible for managing the technical support resources and performing a variety of advanced customer service and troubleshooting duties for one of the most advanced lines of Universal Electronics wireless controls – www.mynevo.com
You Will:
*Interact with customers on a regular basis to provide field training and on-site troubleshooting of products.
*Manage a customer service team responsible for maintaining customer phone support. This technical support team will be responsible for providing prompt resolution of customer inquiry by providing appropriate programming and technical support information and escalating issues for proper resolution.
*Conduct on-site and online web training sessions to a variety of end-users, installers, dealers and distributors, on an as needed basis.
*Provide support to review and monitor technical support documentation, such as FAQs, Knowledge Base articles, and technical whitepapers.
*Periodically report findings from the field to product management (feature requests, opinions on the product, etc.)
*Multitask between phone support and respond to online posted customer trouble tickets.
*Demonstrate courtesy and patience in working with customers both in person and over the phone.
*Respond to routine customer work/service support inquiries and requests.
*Attend tradeshows and new technology seminars, on an as needed basis both domestically & internationally.
*Be prepared to support a new business segment in a variety of tasks including testing 3rd party devices for compatibility and participation in pre-release (beta) testing of new products and features, as needed.
This position reports to the Vice President of Product Development.
We require a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and have proficient knowledge in networking technologies, theory and practice.
You must have a minimum of four years experience setting-up, supporting and troubleshooting wired and wireless (Wi-Fi) networking technologies; be proficient in a variety of software applications related to home networking; and have the ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing. You must be able to travel up to 25%.
