System Architect/ Senior J2EE Engineer

Qualified candidates must have 4+ years of experience leading development teams of 2-4 engineers on rapid-development projects. Consulting experience on projects for high-profile or Fortune 500 companies is highly desired.
Candidates must have recent and deep skills architecting and developing enterprise-class systems based on J2EE technologies including Java Servlets, JSPs, JDBC, ANT, and Struts. These are hands-on roles: candidates must show recent coding experience developing for and deploying to the Jakarta Tomcat Application Server, although Weblogic Server experience is also acceptable. A strong understanding of schema design for both transactional and reporting databases is required, as is experience with MySQL, although Oracle or DB2 background would also be acceptable.
• All candidates must demonstrate significant understanding of networking technologies and protocols such as TCP, UDP, and HTTP at the byte and packet level.
• Using a packet sniffer should be second nature.
• Preference will also be given to candidates with a background that includes PSMS content provisioning, dynamic wireless portals, and integration with an SMS Aggregator.
