The Development Support Engineer reports to the Manager of Sales Engineering and works with both the Enterprise team and the Product Engineering Team to support a variety of development efforts. The position will require a great deal of flexibility as the DSE will support multiple teams and multiple projects. On the Enterprise side, the DSE will provide development support to Enterprise customers and systems integrators who are building applications for HTC Windows Mobile devices. On the Product Engineering side, the DSE will provide support for a variety of projects, from assisting key partner development efforts to prototyping solutions for the wireless operators.
The perfect candidate for this role will have a mix of customer interaction and communication skills, along with strong Windows Mobile development skills using .NET and C++. Moderate travel will be required for this position on an as-needed basis when interfacing directly with customers is required.
• BSCS preferred. MIS, MSCS or MBA desired.
• 3-5 years of .NET and C++ development for the Windows Mobile platform
• Knowledge of mobile development best practices
• Good communication and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate to both technical and non-technical personnel
• Willingness to dive into any situation and work thru to success and completion
• Ability and willingness to multi-task, manage, and work hard in a fast-paced team environment
• The role will be providing consultative and authoritative support for some of HTC’s large ISV partners who are working to optimize their applications on HTC devices.
