Job Title: Verizon on-site Consultant

Job Description:
This position will provide on-site technical support to Verizon.
Responsibilities will include:
– Monitor and manage the operational performance of our client’s system deployed in the customer’s environment
– Provide expertise for creating test scripts including both functional test and monitoring scripts using Story Boarder and VB scripting
– Provide expertise for creating and setting up reports using the Box Office tool and for developing custom SQL queries of the Projector data warehouse
– Provide Monitor Master training to customer staff
– Lead periodic status reviews and discussions with the customer regarding support and maintenance issues
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Technical Requirements:
– Knowledge of wireless telecommunication technologies – GSM/UMTS, CDMA, TD-SCDMA, WiMAX, LTE
– Understanding of wireless data technologies (WAP, MMS, SMS, GPRS and Video Streaming)
– 3-5 years of field experience with a wireless operator in the engineering environment
– Previous experience with testing and monitoring platforms an advantage
– Computer and language skills
o Microsoft XP, Vista, Windows 7
o Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
o Scripting, C#, C and C++ syntax, VB Script
o Ability to perform and manage hardware and software installations
Personal Characteristics:
– 3-5 years working experience within similar environment
– Strong interpersonal skills and communicational skills (verbally and in writing)
– Self-motivated, driven, focussed, hands-on mentality
– Excellent technical ability
– Able to grasp concepts readily and explain them to others
– Able to liaise with sales and development staff
Educational Requirements:
– BS in Engineering (MS in Engineering a plus)
