Zinio: Online Retail Manager, San Francisco, CA

The Online Marketing Programs Manager at Zinio will be a key member of a retail team responsible for email, paid search, partner and affiliate marketing programs to drive new subscriber acquisition and various retention and cross-selling programs to increase repeat purchases. The candidate will have responsibility for new customer acquisition and be accountable for results. They will have a unique opportunity to have a significant impact within a rapidly growing company in an exciting new segment of the digital media marketplace.

The successful candidate will have exceptional analytical skills and a strong understanding of online direct response. They will also be responsible for list segmentation as well as creating detailed analysis and reports on, file attrition, retention, acquisition, prospect lists and segment performance in support of marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:
--Create and manage a wide variety of online customer acquisition activities
--Work with designers to finalize content (with input from team members) for programs, including web site, email, online advertising, partnerships, etc.
--Measure, analyze and report key trends in program performance.
--Develop specific, actionable recommendations regarding program selection and and design.
--Have a strong consumer marketing interest in all aspects of direct response including; creative, offer strategy, production

Requirements:
-- Candidates should only apply if they have run marketing programs in an online context for at least 5-7 years. Experience in digital media or magazine publishing is a plus. Other requirements include:
--Deep knowledge of current online acquisition techniques, strategies and trends
--Technical understanding of internet-based software products and services
--Strong project management and organizational skills
--Detail and results oriented - ability to focus on projects to their completion
--Able to work independently as well as in teams
--Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment and exhibit grace under pressure
--Motivated and enthusiastic
--Strong computer skills and proficiency with html and a variety of software applications, including Office, web analysis packages and reporting tools
--Proficient verbal and written communication skills
--Bachelors degree required
