We have an opening for a Senior Mobile Services Engineer in our Mobile Engineering Department in Carlsbad, California. We're looking for a highly motivated software engineer with proven experience in defining, designing and implementing mobile applications for media and carrier billing systems. Strong analysis and communication skills are required for this position.

The job description along with the skill sets, experience and education requirements are as follows.

Senior Mobile Services Engineer To design, develop, maintain, analyse, debug, test and modify our mobile centric applications. Work according to the practices set out in the Product Development processes and framework.

This includes tasks such as minor code changes, design of new reports and modules (including writing design documents), writing code, debugging, writing unit tests, testing, deployment and documentation. Provide input to improve procedures for development and maintenance processes.

We are looking for a team player that is driven, willing to take initiative, responsible, eager to learn and has great analytical and communication skills.

Skills / Education Required:

7-10 years' experience developing application software in the wireless industry.
Java (J2EE/J2SE), SOAP, XML/XSL, Oracle, Linux are required.
Knowledge of wireless content billing systems a major plus.
Knowledge of ad management technologies a major plus.
Knowledge of BREW and J2ME are a plus.
Knowledge of wireless networking protocols and technology (e.g., SMS, MMS, GPRS, WAP).
Experience with multiple device makes and models.
Knowledge of multimedia content applications for mobile devices.
Knowledge of wireless network connectivity.
Knowledge of 3GPP standards and technology a plus.
Knowledge of OMA DRM a plus.
