InfoNXX is hiring a Senior Speech Engineer for our North American Headquarters in Bethlehem, PA. This position will design and build speech related systems for the company. The position will work with VSP to enhance the development of speech technology.
This position has the following responsibilities:
· Design, develop, support INFONXX’s speech technology platform (network, h/w, middleware/integration, speech software).
· Partner with key vendors/network elements such as Nuance Speech, Microsoft Speech, Lucent Switch, Cisco ICM, as well as 3rd party consulting firms.
· Partner with VSP and Marketing to provide platform technical guidance for VSP’s development and understanding of speech-enabled applications and partner solutions.
· Assess, design and build and speech technology platform enhancements to operational VSP applications.
· Assess speech application performance, integrated call (agent/platform/partner) and overall platform performance.
· Designs, develops, and supports enhancements to INFONXX’s speech technology platform to drive benchmarked leadership to: improve speech application performance (i.e., voice quality, consistency), improve integrated agent call flow integration and improve overall platform scalability, cost efficiency, availability

· 2-3 years in speech recognition.
· Experience with the following software helpful: Nuance, Microsoft Speech, IBM Speech, BEA middleware, Oracle (middleware, CRM), Comverse, Loquendo, Tuvox, Aspect, Intervoice (Edify), Vocalocity
· Proven expertise with modern IT technologies/languages such as Java, JavaScript, VXML, JDBC, LDAP, JNDI, RMI,
· HTML, XML, various protocols (I.e., SIP, TCP/IP), other technologies (“softswitches”, app servers, IVRs, etc.), IP/PSTN voice and data networks, and integrating with mission critical agent contact centers
· Demonstrated system engineering experience
· Prior systems integration experience.
· Software development (and/or software-as-a-service)
· Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering or Relevant Major.
· Master's Degree
